Multi-layer Hardwood Flooring
Multi-layered hardwood flooring is most commonly referred to as engineered hardwood, and is generally made of 3 to 5 layers of hardwood glued or laminated together on a plywood base.
Engineered hardwood flooring won’t expand or contract with moisture, offering superior strength and resistance. It can be installed above or below grade and is a good choice for condos, basements and commercial applications. The flooring can be glued down or floated onto concrete, an existing floor, an acoustic underlay or even a subflloor with radiant heat.
